- Hakeem Nicks
- Golden Tate
- Eric Decker
- Julian Edelman
As you can see there are some good guys on this list, but who are the best fits for the Jets?
1) Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia Eagles
I think the best fit for the Jets at wide receiver is Jeremy Maclin, While Maclin missed the entire 2013 season with a knee injury, when healthy he is one of the best big-play receivers in football. Jets offensive coordinator, Marty Morhinweig, was his coordinator for a couple of years in Philadelphia. Maclin knows the offense and could come on a discount because of the injury.
2) Golden Tate, Seattle Seahawks
Tate isn't an amazing wide receiver, but he can a lot of things good. He can give you a great dynamic on special teams, while being steady at wide out. Tate has a connection with Jets general manager, John Idzik, being that Idzik worked in Seattle for a number of years. Tate would be a solid fit.
3) James Jones, Green Bay Packers
Why would Jones go back to Green Bay when he is behind Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson on the depth chart? Jones could go to New York and make more money. Jones is a very underrated receiver, but always seems to make clutch catches. He is older than Maclin and Tate, but could be a great fit for the Jets as a deep threat.
