With Mark Sanchez hurt, Greg McElroy hurt, and Geno resting, Matt Simms got his first chance to start in the NFL. He took full advantage, playing all of thirty six seconds at the end. Simms went 33-44, 285 yards, and 0 interceptions. He showed a great arm and even though he was under pressure a lot of the night, he showed he could get out of the pocket and make plays. Simms had a great preseason, and 100% will make this team as the third string quarterback.

With the news of Mike Goodson's suspension, it pretty much guaranteed Bell of a roster spot. Tonight he showed he deserves it, rushing for 80 yards on 21 carries and 2 touchdowns. Bell ran hard all night, and on plays where it seemed like he had nothing, he made something. The back probably won't see many carries in the regular season, but he has made a name in the preseason.

On Twitter i have heard the name Ricky Sapp a lot, but I have never been able to truly see him play a lot of snaps. Tonight Sapp was all over the field. While he only recorded 3 tackles and a sack, Ricky was always in the backfield and getting pressure on the quarterback. Ricky will make the team, and should see some playing time because of the Quinton Coples injury.
