Whether it was Richardson or Marty, it does not matter. The Jets should not of been wasting their final timeout right before the snap of their fourth down play with five minutes to go down seven. Geno Smith connected with Kerley for a touchdown, but it was waved off due to someone on the Jets sideline calling for time. Clearly it wasn't Rex, and on the video you can see Marty yelling for it. Sheldon Richardson leans into the refs ear and gets the timeout. This play really cost the Jets the game, because it would of been 31-31 had the timeout not waved off the play. Also burning the last timeout was critical when the Packers got the ball back.
Muhammad Wilkerson is supposed to be the anchor and leader of the Jets defense. A leader should not be ejected from a game in the second half of a tight football game for throwing punches after getting scored on. After he was ejected, Wilkerson went back to the locker room laughing and smiling as the crowd showered him with boos. Wilkerson has to step up and next week and have a big game.
The storyline coming into this season was if the Jets secondary could hold up. The secondary was pretty solid in the first half, but melted in the second. Aaron Rodgers started to toast them, as Jordy Nelson finished with a career high with over 200 receiving yards including an 80 yard touchdown where he burned Dee Milliner and made Calvin Pryor miss. Randall Cobb also had two touchdowns. Antonio Allen and Darrin Walls were overmatched by Packer wideouts.
