The Patriots are going to be hobbling into Metlife stadium next Sunday. The team already lost running backs Dion Lewis and LeGarratte Blount to IR. Julian Edelman does not seem likely to play. Patrick Chung, Danny Amendola, and Donta Hightower were all injured in the latest game against the Titans. The Jets come in with an opposite situation. The team will be fully healthy heading into this battle with New England, and should matchup well on both sides of the ball. The Patriots defense is playing very good football, but does not have the corners to matchup with Decker, Marshall, Enunwa, and Kenbrall Thompkins. If Dont'a Hightower cannot play, Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell should benefit. On the defensive side of the football, if Edelman and Amendola do not play, Revis should be on Brandon Lafell. This leaves Rob Gronkowski and James White as the only weapons that are very dangerous in the passing game.
A win against the Patriots and a 10-5 record would show the AFC that the Jets are a legit threat. They have a quarterback playing great, a solid running game, some dangerous weapons, and a dominant defense. I expect Metlife to be shaking on Sunday and the Jets to go and play a very good game.
