While the Jets are playing awful football lately, Tennessee may be worst. They just suffered a 36-7 loss to the Giants. Both of these teams need a franchise quarterback, especially the Jets. The Jets have been a dysfunctional franchise for a long time, and really haven't had a long-term answer at the position in the past decade. The NFL today is a quarterback driven league. Both Winston and Mariota have question marks, but both have the potential to be stars.
On top of giving the Jets stability at the quarterback position, losing to the Titans and gaining a top three pick would make the Jets all the more enticing to a general manager or head coach candidate. If the Jets are going after Harbaugh, I think he would love it if he would have the chance to choose between Winston and Mariota. I can't remember a time before this I have not cared about winning on Sunday, but this week is too important for the entire future of the team.
