The Jets currently have seven draft picks one per round. If the jets do trade Revis is should be before the draft and receive picks, but thats another topic. If the Jets drafted a QB their options are slim, and since we have already lost 10 starters and could lose a few more. the jets shouldn't use their 9th overall pick to draft Geno Smith. His upside is that he can run and throw and he has had a very good workout and Combine. His downside is that he didn't play good in the 2nd half of the season last year. If I was the jets I would consider taking Tyler Wilson in the second round, Ryan Nassib in the 2nd or 3rd round, and Mike Glennon in the 2nd or 3rd round. Two other candidates could be Tyler Bray in the 3rd or 4th and even the 5th round, and Mike Scott in the 3rd or 4th round. I like Bray and I like Glennon, Wilson in the 2nd could be a little shaky.
In all reality Sanchez will be the QB week one, Tebow will be the backup or he won't be on the team, Garrard will be a backup, and we may have a rookie. Add Mcelroy and Simms, you have yourself a huge QB battle. The jets are going to struggle this season, and unless we draft Geno Smith, the best chance at a QB is in next year's free agency and Draft.
