Greene was the third round pick of the Jets back in 2009, and ran for 1,000 twice over his Jets career. He is a big back and was never that great number one guy. He would of been a poor fit in Marty Morinweigh's offense and he was not worth the money for the Jets. Right now at running back, the Jets just have Bilal Powell, Joe McKnight, and John Griffin. Many expect them to add a guy in the draft or through free agency.
Bell only spent one year on the Jets as a safety, and played pretty good. The veteran was a good leader and almost every Jet fan expected him back in Green. The Cardinals cut former Jet Kerry Rhodes, so this was a need for them. The Jets now face a hole at safety with the likely loss of their other starter LaRon Landry.
