On the pace they are on, the Jets would finish 2-14. This would 100% get them a top pick in the draft, something they need. There are some guys in this class who could really change the direction of this franchise. The first guy is Marcus Mariota, the quarterback out of Oregon. He has a lot of talent with his arm and his legs, comparing to a guy like Colin Kapernick. To get him, the Jets will need a top-three pick. Mariota is a guy who could be the Jets quarterback for the next decade and beyond. Another sitting at the top of this draft is Amari Cooper, the wide receiver out of Alabama. Cooper is an elite prospect, and should become a Pro-Bowl caliber receiver in the NFL. Both of these guys could improve this team drastically.
I love Rex, but it's time for a change. A new head coach either from the college ranks or the NFL, would be great for the Jets. This team needs a new voice in the locker room, as they have had Rex since 2009. I will never root for the Jets to lose, but a 2-14 regular season would not be as bad as it appears in the long run.
