THE SKY IS THE LIMIT FOR THE JETS IN 2014, MAYBE EVEN THE SPACE AT THIS POINT. GM JOHN IDZIK AND HEAD COACH REX RYAN HAVE A ROOKIE CB WHO STRUGGLED ALL SEASON UNTIL THE FINAL TWO GAMES OF THE SEASON. DEE MILLINER the 9th overall pick in the draft had two interception in the Season Finale, and he has been defending the ball like he did in Alabama. Sheldon Richardson the 13th overall pick finished the season with 41 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two rushing touchdowns. Geno Smith the 2nd round Rookie QB finished the season 17-27 with 190 yards throwing and a rushing touchdown. Smith ran for 44 yards as well. The rookies got better throughout the season, and the Jets are likely to cut Sanchez, Holmes, and Cromartie and save a lot of money.
Possible free Agents could be Jeremy Maclin the WR from the Philadelphia Eagles, Golden TATE WR From seattle, Eric Decker WR From Denver. WIth Rex Ryan staying, Marty Mornhinweg getting a few more seasons developing Smith, plenty of money to spend in Free Agency, and 8 draft picks as of now, John Idzik is in GM heaven. The jets can be at 9-7 or 10-6 next year as long as Geno and the offense Progress.
Rex ryan is 42-38 in 5 full season as the jets head coach, going into his sixth season it's playoffs or bust for the 6th year head coach. With "Experts" expecting the Jets to get 3 maybe 4 win the jets did so much better than they were expected to. It'll be an exciting offseason for the jets, but for now Jet fans have to wait until the super bowl ends and free agency begins in late february. Right now the Jets future looks brighter than it did week 1, but it all starts with a head Coach, the jets will keep Rex Ryan.
