New York Jets Projected Starter- Geno Smith
Buffalo Bills Projected Starter- Matt Cassel/Tyrod Taylor/EJ Manuel
Miami Dolphins Projected Starter- Ryan Tannehill
New England Patriots Projected Starter- Tom Brady
Power Rankings- 1) Patriots, 2) Dolphins, 3) Jets, 4) Bills
Tom Brady is still the king of this division. Brady is still an elite quarterback who will end up having a great season with New England no matter how long he is suspended for. Ryan Tannehill is going into his fourth year and just signed a monster extension. With his improved weapons, it is now or never for the Dolphins quarterback. Geno Smith has already been given indications that it is his job to lose. The Jets added Brandon Marshall and Devin Smith, and I am expecting Geno to thrive with Chan Gailey. The Bills are a mess at quarterback. Cassel is a veteran past his prime, Taylor hasn't played a significant snap, and Manuel is a first round bust.
New York Jets Depth Chart- Chris Ivory, Stevan Ridley, Bilal Powell, Zac Stacy
Buffalo Bills Depth Chart- LeSean McCoy, Fred Jackson, Anthony Dixon, Bryce Brown
Miami Dolphins Depth Chart- Lamar Miller, Damian Williams, Jay Ajayi
New England Patriots Depth Chart- LeGarratte Blount, Brandon Bolden, Jonas Gray, Travaris Cadet
Power Rankings- 1) Bills, 2) Jets, 3) Dolphins, 4) Patriots
The Bills made the big move at this position, getting All-Pro LeSean McCoy. Along with McCoy, they already have Fred Jackson. The Jets have a ton of depth. Resigning Bilal Powell, signing Ridley, and trading for Stacy, gives them great competition going into camp. Lamar Miller had a breakout season for the Dolphins last year, and the team may have gotten one of the steals of the draft in Jay Ajayi. The Patriots don't have a number one guy. Blount is suspended early in this season, and the other guys are really young and inexperienced.
New York Jets Projected Starters- Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Devin Smith
Buffalo Bills Projected Starters- Sammy Watkins, Percy Harvin, Robert Woods
Miami Dolphins Projected Starters- Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills, DeVante Parker
New England Patriots Projected Starters- Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Danny Amendola
Power Rankings- 1) Jets, 2) Dolphins, 3) Bills, 4) Patriots
Every team in the division except New England made big moves at wide receiver. The Jets got superstar Brandon Marshall and drafted Devin Smith in the second, to go along with Eric Decker and Jeremy Kerley. The Bills signed Percy Harvin, and most are expecting a breakout sophomore campaign from Sammy Watkins. The Dolphins got rid of Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace, and were able to trade for Kenny Stills and draft DeVante Parker in round one. Jarvis Landry is a young stud and Greg Jennings is a solid veteran. New England did nothing in the offseason, but still has reliable weapons.
