3) Darrelle Revis will shut down Amari Cooper, making Michael Crabtree Oakland's leading receiver on the day. Okay I get it. This isn't that bold. However, Cooper performed well against Joe Haden and was able to muster four catches against the Broncos. Regardless, Revis is the best cornerback in the NFL and will not allow any rookie to beat him. Expect this to lead to a decent day from Michael Crabtree, who will get more targets than any other Raider.
2) Ryan Fitzpatrick will throw 4 TDs. And Fitzmagic rolls on. Too many people expect Fitzpatrick to slow down, as he is just not supposed to be playing as well as he is. Nevertheless, Chan Gailey and Fitzpatrick just work too well together. It is as simple as that. The Raiders have been allowing around 300 yards passing per game and the Jets should have no problems getting their fair share of that, if not more.
1) The Jets will win, and it won't be as close as you think. Look, I understand the Raiders are an up and coming team with a lot of potential. Trust me; I get it. But do you really think Derek Carr has matured enough to dissect the Jets top defense? I certainly don't. The front of the Jets will be too much for Carr and the Raiders to handle and the Jets secondary will intercept Carr twice. Jets win 31-17.
