Right when new Jets general manager John Idzik took over, he said Tebow could be a guy to compete at the quarterback position. Jets fans thought he was just saying this, leading to Tebow being traded or cut. The polarizing star does not have the mechanics to be a starting quarterback in the NFL, but he can win. I think if Idzik truly wants the old "media" Jets to be gone, he needs to part ways with Tebow.
It will be interesting what happens with Tim Tebow. I think the Jets are doing themselves and Tebow a diservice by not letting him go. He is a media distraction for the team, and for Tim he will probably not get a real chance under Rex Ryan. IF Tebow is at the workouts next week I would be surprised. Hopefully by then, Idzik comes to his senses.
