After a non-contact injury in the game yesterday, Revis seemed okay for a quite a while, but he gimped into the locker room and we all knew something bad was happening. Now, the day after the game the Jets have received word that he will be out for the remainder of the year with a torn ACL. This injury is a huge blow and Darrelle is basically irreplaceable, but the Jets have no choice but to try.
The new tandem of starting corners consists of Kyle Wilson and Chromartie with most likely Lankster in the slot. Being extremely athletic Chro should be able to cover each teams top wideout and do pretty well but he cannot slack like we saw him do in the Pitt game. Kyle Wilson is also going to need to come up big considering he will most likely be covering Wes Welker 2 times this year.
It's never fun to lose your best player, especially when he part of your defense that the team relies on. But the Jets have no choice but to overcome the injury if they want to make a run, without Revis the Jets must play these next 13 games like he doesn't exist or else it will become a distraction. Now lets see what they can do.
