The first half for the Jets was just awful. The first drive of the game Sanchez threw an interception to Richard Marshall, who had a battle with Holmes all day. Right after that the Dolphins ran it down the Jets throats and punched in a one yard touchdown run. The Jets got nothing besides a field goal in the half, with the only excitement being a Tebow fake punt run. At the half the Jets trailed 10-3.
The second half got off to a great start for the Jets. LaRon Landry intercepted Tannehill for a touchdown to tie the game up. The Dolphins got the ball back and Daniel Thomas fumbled with a Jets recovery. With all the momentum, Mark Sanchez threw an awful interception near the endzone. The Dolphins punched in a touchdown on another run giving themselves a 17-10 lead. The Jets cut the lead to 17-13 and later took the lead on a Sanchez to Kerley touchdown. The Dolphins got the ball with around 3:00 left and tacked on a field goal. In overtime the Jets failed to score on their first drive, giving the Fins a chance. After driving down the field, kicker Dan Carpenter missed his second field goal of the game. The Jets got the ball back and Sanchez found Holmes to set up Folk for the game winner. The Jets improved to 2-1 and will face the Niners next week.
Powell, Holmes, and Kerley were good on offense. The horrible news for the Jets is that Revis injured his knee. Hopefully it is not serious and he can play next week.
